Conservation Services
ACdR Conservation Studios are unique in the San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California, and the Western U.S. Our private conservation practice and analytical research lab is multi-disciplinary, specializing in a broad scope of treatments from stabilization, repairs, cleaning, custom display mounting design and fabrication, and artwork installation—to emergency and disaster remediation and recovery.
Fine Art Conservation is both a science and an art. Our staff is highly skilled, specially trained and educated in this field as professional conservators, in the material sciences, treatment, handling and care of textiles, paintings, decorative arts, objects, and works on paper.
Our studios provide both on-site and in-studio condition assessments by appointment, which include a comprehensive written conservation treatment recommendation proposal and photo documentation. We will always discuss the potential options for treatment, budget limitations, and the least invasive, and reversible action with best practices for the longterm preservation any project.
