Created pattern for Fosshape by tracing capelet on butcher paper. Had difficulty with front flaps but tested fit by placing patter pieces inside (inc. 1/2” seam allowance) and adjusted accordingly. Cut out Fosshape pieces around pattern and pinned together on dress form. Steamed Fosshape using 25% Isopropyl alcohol in distilled water. Used a large soft bruh to help remove wrinkles and poke out corners. For the areas where the Fosshape is not fitted to the form, used a folded up bath towel as a tailor’s ham to apply pressure. Also flipped upside down and opened to steam inside without pressure, helping it harden and seal side seams.

Mixture of enzyme cleaner, vulplex soap, orvus paste, isopropyl alcohol and distilled water applied with swabs to clean ground of cape. Bottom edge and 2” up on left side near fold not done. Negligible change. Some brown lifted on pads, with none after 3 passes and clearing on pads.
Adhesive Repair/Removal

Began bending wires back down and used porcupine quill to remove accretions of adhesive from leaves.
General Repair

Tested bleach on organza ground. Bent down wires and removed glue where visible on leaves.

Steamed leaves while on padded hanger. Misted bleach on ground (Bleach + distilled water, 3:1). Trimmed frayed edges
